Getting started

GrootDesk goes live in three steps — connect your shop, let it learn your world, then switch it on. Most stores are live in under an hour, with no re-platforming.

1. Connect your shop

Install the GrootDesk plugin (Shopware today; Shopify & WooCommerce in early access) or drop the script snippet into your storefront. Point it at your store API and your helpdesk. See Connect your store for the details.

2. GrootDesk learns your world

The agent ingests your policies, FAQs and product catalogue to build a grounded knowledge base — in the language your customers speak. This is retrieval-augmented generation (RAG); read more in Knowledge base & RAG.

  • Return & refund policies, shipping and warranty terms
  • FAQ pages, CMS content and PDF documents
  • Live product catalogue and order data via your store API

3. Go live & watch

Turn the widget on. GrootDesk answers questions, verifies orders and files consent-gated tickets automatically, while you monitor every conversation, action and cost from the dashboard.

Safe by default: no order is changed without explicit customer confirmation, and every action is written to the audit trail. See Guardrails & consent.

What you'll need

  • Admin access to your store (to install the plugin or add the snippet)
  • Store API credentials (read access to orders & products)
  • A helpdesk to escalate into (Zendesk, Freshdesk or email)
  • Your LLM choice — bring your own key or use our managed models
